Sobre música » answer
by Dagoberto (CL), Last modified: 2011-01-24, 20:25  Spam?
Es posible investigar y reflexionar sobre las sonatas de Beethoven, las baladas de Chopin o las sinfonías de Mahler, pero nada sabrá de esa música quien no se deje invadir por ella, sin ningún tipo de protección.
Estas páginas te apoyan en ese intento con la pequeña o gran historia que rodeó la creación de esa música.

Thank you all. I love you so much.

What's the best way of saying -  "I'm going to get my car washed"  or "I am going to have my hair shampooed and set"   i.e. someone else will actually be doing it.
Answer:
"to have something done" is an English structure.  #571233

Hello nitram,

In English, unlike some Latin-based languages, we cannot say that we do, did or are going to do something if it is in fact another person who is going to perform the action.

In Spanish you might say:
"Voy a lavar mi coche"
I am going to wash my car

and actually mean you're going to the carwash or a professional to have the car washed. In English, if we say "I am going to wash my car", it means that I am going outside with a hose and a shammy cloth to wash it myself. In Spanish that is not necessarily the case.

Hi Nitram,
as far as I know, the word cordonera is used in spain (in the sense shoelace). In america the meaning is another one.. is more for a company, person or machine that making them.
Hope that can help you!

irreflexive verbs » answer
by frankowro (ES/PL), 2010-11-11, 13:03  Spam?
Hi there friends!

I am inserting Spanish inflexions of verbs, and I have arrived to the verb 'acontecer', which is irreflexive and only conjugated in the 3rd person. How should I enter this info in the inflexion? I was thinking about something like this:

acontecer (irrefl.) | (él) acontece | (él) aconteció | acontecido

but Im not sure if this is the correct way or how to treat this kind of verb.

Could somebody please help me?

Thanks a lot!

Please use the German forum for questions about guidelines, at least for the time being, as most of the discussions about rules are the same for German and English and we need to discuss them in one place.
